Featured in Kitchen Garden Magazine: Meet the Blogger September 2025
Featured on the front cover AND a 3 page spread in the September 2025 issue of Kitchen Garden magazine as part of their popular Meet the Blogger section is such an exciting milestone.

As the UK’s best-selling “grow your own” magazine, Kitchen Garden has always been a source of inspiration for gardeners of all levels, and to be included among their pages is both an honour and a joy.

This latest issue is packed with all the best tips, tricks, advice and ideas for growing your own fruit and veg, so to sit alongside such rich and practical content feels very special. Gardening has always been about sharing knowledge and passion, and the Meet the Blogger feature is the perfect way to connect with readers who are just as enthusiastic about homegrown food as we are.

In the piece, I had the opportunity to talk about our gardening journey, which began with a few fruit trees planted out and has since blossomed into something much bigger. We’ve transformed a full lawn into a flourishing food forest, set up a thriving raised bed area, and even nurtured a lavender hedge grown entirely from seed. Along the way, we’ve learned not only about growing food but also about cultivating patience, resilience and the joy nature gives.

I was also able to share the philosophy behind my blog: encouraging people to see gardening not only as a way to feed themselves, but also as a way to slow down, reconnect with nature, and embrace the seasons. Most importantly, I spoke about Clayton’s inspiring journey of gardening with autism and sensory processing disorder. Although non-verbal, Clayton finds comfort, focus and joy through the sensory experience of gardening, proving that the garden is a space of healing, learning and expression for everyone.

To be spotlighted by such a trusted magazine in the gardening world is a reminder of how vibrant and generous this community is. I’m incredibly grateful to Kitchen Garden for the opportunity, and even more excited about the conversations and connections it will spark.

This month comes with 6 packs of seeds also, go grab a copy before they sell out! Copies can be bought online too from: kitchengarden.co.uk
